qmail software package provides a secure, reliable, efficient, simple message transfer agent, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install qmail
qmail is installed in your system.
Make ensure the qmail package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep qmail *
You will get with qmail package name, version, architecture and description in a table
